Illustration for a book about fencing by Martin Fabian

I designed the cover illustration for my friend Martin Fabian's book. It is written in Czech/Slovak and deals with a medieval tradition of fencing. Martin is one of the top-ranked fencers in the world with longsword and steadily climbing with rapier.

The style of illustration pays homage to the MS Germ.Quart.2020 "Goliath" book produced in the early 1500s, currently resting in the Biblioteka Jagiellońska in Kraków, Poland.
